Five Spice Blend Aromatic Spice Blend Burlap & Barrel

An ancient, aromatic blend cherished across East Asia, Five Spice is known as Ngũ Vị Hương in Vietnamese and 五香粉 in Chinese. Its name honors the five traditional flavor elements in Chinese cuisine: sweet, bitter, sour, salty, and savory.

Warm, complex, and gently spiced, this versatile blend layers star anise sweetness with earthy depth and subtle heat. It brings balance and intrigue to grilling rubs, stews, sauces, stir-fries, braises, and classic red-cooked dishes.
