Product Overview

Dong Quai (Dang Gui) is a time-honored botanical deeply rooted in East Asian herbal traditions.

It has been used for generations in traditional Chinese herbal kitchens and classical formulas, where it is valued for its warm, aromatic character and rich, earthy sweetness.

Our Certified Organic Dang Gui is carefully sliced and naturally dried at low temperatures to preserve its traditional aroma, color, and integrity.

It is free from sulfur, pesticides, and chemical additives, making it a clean, food-grade botanical suitable for teas, decoctions, and traditional broths.

How to Use

  • Tea & Decoction

Simmer 6–12 g of Dang Gui in water for 20–30 minutes.

Commonly paired with botanicals such as Shu Di Huang, Bai Shao, or Chuan Xiong in classical East Asian decoction recipes.

  • Soups & Broths

Add to chicken soup, herbal broths, or family-style tonic soups for a warm, traditional flavor.

  • Culinary & Traditional Blends

Often combined with goji berries, red dates, or Chinese yam in seasonal herbal cooking.
